"The ability to read, write and analyse; the confidence necessary to defend one's rights and demand justice and equality; the skills and relationships that open doors and allow everyone to find their place in society - all this begins with education.” Michelle Obama
Women in leadership positions
On average in Europe only 33% of working women hold a managerial position. This rate does not exceed 50% in any country of the Union.
France and Belgium have the same average. The highest proportion of women in a position to lead teams in Europe is in Latvia (47%), followed by Poland and Slovenia (41%).
Women and education
In Africa:

-> 28 million girls and adolescents of school age are unlikely to attend school.
-> In Mali, 92% of girls will never go to school, 3% have dropped out, and 5% will start late.
-> In Niger, there is a greater gender difference: 91% of girls will never go to school, 3% have dropped out, and 6% will start late
(compared to 83%, 4% and 12% respectively for boys).
